Was at the Chicago show last night, and it was great.... but, it seemed like they were playing all the songs at a sped up rate. I've seen them a couple of times before then and never experienced that. Did anyone else notice this? Anyone know of a particular reason they would do that?

That was most definitely the case for at least the first three songs of the Cleveland show, too.

Yup, I observed this at the MSG shows. My buddy and I initially thought, "Aw well, must be pretty amped to play here . . ." But they didn't slow down and it was the same in the second show.

Had to be a conscious decision, although I can't imagine why they'd do that. Wasn't like they sounded bad, just different . . . although on some songs the sped up beat didn't work as well for me . . . e.g. Howlin for You.

They did this at Coachella as well. Most noticeable on Howlin and Next Girl.  Most likely it was to cram more songs into the set. They seemed to have more time to play at Almost Acoustic Christmas.

At the AC show they really addressed those complaints i.e got the crowd to sing.....dan did solos for almost all the songs.....and they really paced themselves.....overall phenomenal show....i was at the msg performance and the revel one was slightly better....
