So Dan and Pat are working themselves to the bone this year.

Dan alone has produced Dr Johns new album - Locked Down. So looking forward to it. And rumors of producing Hanni El Khatibs next outing. Then theres a new Black Keys album being worked on June-July time

and of course tour dates keep getting added all over the place. Announced in the past month or so for the UK and Ireland in August alone  Dublin 02, Belfast Tvital both within 48hours of each other Reeding, Leeds and im sure more. Than theres the European fests and a couple in the States all during that time too

I can't wait for everything they have to offer. Seeing them at Belfast and Dublin. And hope to (maybe) be treated to new material(i hope!)

A live album would be amazing, hell another live concert dvd of this year's tour would be amazing. I think the only thing I have that is closest to a live album is their itunes session.

all my sources are from The BlackKeysFanLounge.com btw... thought this forum needed a little gossip to get it going again. Don't mean to claim that i know any of this, just being the middle man

well we got Live in Sydney DVD
and Live At The Crystal Ballroom DVD
and the ITunes sessions
and countless bootlegs of shows over the net

so an official live, album is overdue. I do recall Pat saying something in the past about how they would never release a live album though. So i think this is the record labels idea maybe. Plus it's during the El Camino Tour, would have been really nice a couple of years ago. I'd still buy it nonetheless

There are cameras following them on certain shows on the this Tour, so maybe a DVD is in the cards aswell, but i think it's a Documentary maybe. They were specific cameras for a TV station.... it could be the docu instead of an album since this is all just gossip though

I believe I've read that article where he said that in fact they do have recorders of the live shows and that they plan on doing a live album, its just which venue that will give them less hassle. Example: KFC Arena being a corporate structure is more of a hassle than let's say MSG....So they are def plans on a live album of this tour...

I think Im gonna do a search of that Sydney Live DVD...

Oh shit....i forgot in my original post ....

Dans has also been quoted in an interview a very short while back(i mean maybe last month) that he would love to make a new solo album if and when he gets the time, "It might not happen but it's not off the table yet. I loved working with different musicians on Keep It Hid" etc etc....can't remember exactly what he saidbut there you go...

as stated before, i don't mean to be spreading precious gossip that might be held near and dear to others hearts, just acting as the middle man to get the word out
